Founded in 2013, Premier Athletic Training Services (P.A.T.S.) and Premier Safety & Mentoring Services has been the one-stop shop providing low-cost, affordable Individual Athletic and Personal Development training sessions, basketball camps and talent showcases for youth ages 8-18 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Founders Branden Joseph and Aaron Smith inspired to share with inner-city youth the training tools and life skills acquired throughout their basketball careers, developed training services that allows youth the opportunity to learn more about their sport, improve skills and receive guidance from coaches and training staff. We utilize physical training to teach our athletes to be discipline in academics and healthy lifestyle choices so they can reach their full athletic and personal potential.

Born and raised in Milwaukee WI, Branden Joseph received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Sociology from Central State University in 2005. A true student of the game, Branden established an impressive basketball career at an early age traveling playing AAU and participating in many leagues around the Milwaukee area. In 1999, he played in the WIAA State basketball tournament where his (Bay View H.S.) team received runner-up honors as they lost in the championship game. In 2001 Branden’s Junior College team (Owens C.C.) qualified for the NJCAA National tournament in which the team took 4th place. Branden played his last 2 years at Central State University where he started as a point guard from 2002-2004 and he was also named one of the Top 20 Historically Black College University All-Stars in the country upon graduating. Branden began his career in coaching as a head freshmen coach at Milwaukee John Marshall H.S., then preceded to WCLL (Wisconsin Conservatory LifeLongLearning) as a varsity assistant coach, and had a (8) year career as the head varsity basketball coach at (Destiny H.S.) where he won a WIAA state championship in 2017. The Journal Sentinel named him Area Coach of
Year in 2017 as well as overall Wisconsin H.S. Sports Coach of the Year in the same year. In March of 2013 Branden & Aaron Smith started their LLC called P.A.T.S. (Premiere Athletic Training Services) in which was established in an attempt to provide affordable services in critical areas of our community. Since 2013 P.A.T.S. have embarked on a magnificent journey that includes the organizing of basketball showcases, leagues, seminars, summits and mentorship. Branden currently serves as the Dean of Students and Culture at Carmen Northwest in which he also had the opportunity to pilot another program in 2019 called Premier Mentoring and Safety Services all located and facilitated at Carmen Northwest H.S. Branden also served his 1st year as the Head Varsity Coach at Carmen Northwest in which they posted school records of finishing 18-6, winning their 1st conference championship, and winning the 1st playoff game in the history of the school. In the 2019-20 season Branden was name “Coach of the Year” for the City Conference Blue Division. Coach Joseph's overall record 148-64.
Aaron Smith, also born and raised in Milwaukee, WI, received his Associate Degree at Iowa Western Community College. At 6'8" Aaron played basketball most of his life and was a three year varsity letterman at Milwaukee Juneau High School and received city all conference honors before graduating in 1996. He received a scholarship to go on and play for Iowa Western Community College where he received his degree in Liberal Arts. After graduating from Iowa Western CC, Aaron went on to continue his basketball career at Division 2 Francis Marion University where he would finish his collegiate basketball career. After college, Aaron pursued a professional basketball career playing for KB Drita Gjilah in Kosovo from 2001-2002. A few years passed Aaron decided to pursue his passion to rebuild his community. He started working on the front line as an in school mentor and a basketball coach. Aaron coached middle school 8th grade basketball for Wisconsin Conservative of Life Long Learning (WCLL) from 2013-2015 and would move on to coach 8th Grade Boys basketball at Carmen Northwest Middle School from 2015-2017. He was hired as the Varsity Head Coach at Carmen Northwest in 2017 and remained until 2019 where he recently
serves as the Varsity Assistant. While coaching, Aaron and Branden Joseph started their LLC called P.A.T.S. (Premiere Athletic Training Services) in which was established in an attempt to provide affordable services in critical areas of our community which will reshape the athlete’s mentality towards academics and healthy living. Since 2013, P.A.T.S. has provided some of the most high quality, extensive sports programming in the state and Aaron pledges to continue these efforts. Aaron Smith currently serves as the Assistant Dean of Students at Carmen Northwest along side his position as Co-President and Founder at Premier Athletic Training Services.
